Where the Water Meets the Sky
Narrated by Morgan Freeman, Where the Water Meets the Sky is the story of a remarkable group of women in a remote region of northern Zambia. These women are given a unique opportunity to learn how to make a film, as a way to speak out about their lives and to challenge the local traditions which have kept them silent. The film was made possible through Camfed (Campaign for Female Education), a non-governmental organization that works to solve long-term health, economic and social issues in rural Africa by educating girls and investing in their economic independence and leadership once they graduate. 645,400 children in some of the poorest regions of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana and Tanzania have benefited from Camfed’s education program.
