The University of Massachusetts Republican Club held a rally on the front steps of the Student Union yesterday, in response to what the club has called a "pornographic" brochure posted outside the Radical Student Union's (RSU) office.
The poster, a cartoon intended to promote safe sex, depicts two men engaging in sexual relations in an illustration.

It doesn't matter if you are a hipster, jock, bookworm or a self-proclaimed individual, you presumably own at least one T-shirt you could call your favorite. My favorite T-shirt, a hole-infested Tom Petty concert souvenir from the '80s, was recently forced into retirement.

As the semester dwindles down to a flurry of hasty goodbyes and off-the-cuff final papers, we of the arts and living section of the Massachusetts Daily Collegian are thinking ahead to the grand beyond. Summer, with its infinite possibilities, doesn't just provide the chance to gorge on Dad's burnt barbeque and PBR-fueled beach bonfires - it's also home to the season film fans of all ages look forward to most.

Traveling is an experience everyone should have; it allows us to become familiar with other cultures hands on. As college students, however, most of us can barely afford to pay for our textbooks let alone leisurely trips. Organizations such as EF College Break, Student City and Contiki have created travel deals targeted to students who have always wanted to travel but fell short when it came to expenses.

As a nationally, top-ranked program, athletic training at Northeastern should be a proud achievement for the university. The program's strength lies in practical application over theory, and at an institution where hands-on experience through co-op is the cornerstone of the school's mission, it's been able to thrive.

For months flyers have been up all over campus, postcards have been scattered around the city of Boston, there was even a cover story in The Mass Media about it. But if you had gone to the Black Student Center Fashion Show on April 29, you would have been all alone in an empty ballroom.

When junior Steve Hoeschele found out there was no class on propaganda offered this spring, he decided to teach his own.
Like Hoeschele, several students at the University of Massachusetts have taken the reins from professors and decided to create their own classes, syllabi and assignments through programs in both the anthropology and Social Thought and Political Economy (STPEC) departments.

It is no lie to say women love their clothes. The idea of women valuing dresses, shoes and accessories more than things like food is not hard to believe. But has this love for clothes supplemented a woman's need to be loved?
According to a poll by Unilever, an international manufacturer of 400 leading brands of home, personal care and food products, the average woman would abstain from sex for 15 months for a closet full of new clothes.

Kenmore Square is known to most Bostonians as the place adjacent to Fenway Park and the home of the CITGO sign, that born and raised Bostonians have grown to possess a strange love for. Kenmore Square is located smack in the middle of two aspects of Boston, education and shopping.

No, this is not John Ritter's son, or of any kin to the late comedian for that matter, though I thought he was too. No, Josh Ritter is a musician, and he apparently has quite a fan base. His album "The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter" suggests from the beginning the influence of late 1960s and early 70s rock along with nods to modern day bands such as The Arcade Fire and The Decemberists.

Felix Fernandez Pizzi, Northeastern's new alcohol and other drug counselor, came to the university with the hope of developing and strengthening the services and counseling students can receive, in relation to alcohol and drug awareness.
One of Pizzi's main concerns is that students realize counseling services are to help students rather than lecture them into giving up their alcohol consumption.

Robert Quinn was expecting a package from California last week.
What he may not have been expecting was that along with the package, which was waiting for him with his building manager, were several Boston Police Drug Control Unit officers and federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents.
